The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team. The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of Finance (Project Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, etc.). This position will be accountable for maintaining strong financial internal controls and driving decisions that impact the finance and accounting organization. This role will report to the VP of Finance directly and will also be responsible for the implementation and integration of business systems such as ERP and other automation tools. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly closing of the financial systems, ensuring that all activities are executed promptly and by accounting policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Managing and supporting post-acquisition integration of accounting functions
• Working with external auditors to plan, organize, and coordinate the year-end close process
• Continually monitor and assess the analytical tools and reports utilized with a focus on systems and process enhancements supporting the financial management of the company
• Developing internal accounting controls
• Developing, organizing ,and communication accounting policies and procedures as needed
• Driving process improvement, including recommendations on software implementations and integration activities

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or relevant field
• 8-10 years’ minimum relevant Accounting / Finance experience, 5 years’ management experience
• Working level experience with Percent of Completion (POC) Accounting for long-term projects / contracts
• Proven ability to execute on Accounting / Finance deliverables, such as building financial statements and supporting schedules
• Financial Planning & Analysis experience, including preparing and presenting actual versus budget and actual versus prior year analysis
• Technical Accounting experience
• Experience managing through system implementations & conversions
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally in an enterprise-level organization

• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains & Dynamics 365
• Experience with Acumatica
• M&A experience
• Experience with LeaseQuery
