Job Description:

The Special Education Teacher will supervise one of our classrooms. In these rooms, we serve infants and toddlers ages 18 months to 3.6 years old that have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as other developmental delays. Children enrolled in our program receive one to one services, by a teacher's assistant. We use an ABA methodology that encompasses a multidisciplinary approach.

Requirements:

• New York State Certified Special Education Teacher (Birth-2nd Grade, TSSLD, TSHH, LMSW, LCSW, NP, RN, LPN) PREFERRED AND WILL RECEVIE A HIGHER PAY RATE IF HAD.
• Bachelors’ degree or higher from an accredited institution. MUST SAY EARLY CHILDHOOD ON THE BACHELORS DEGREE
• 1 year of experience as a lead teacher in a room setting is recommended.
• Relevant ABA Experience is recommended.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Early Intervention (EI) is recommended.

Salary:

$40,000-$60,000 per year

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:45 am-3:30 pm

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Implement programs based on the science of ABA applied behavior analysis
• Conduct intake and ongoing assessments of students
• Collect data on child’s progress, behaviors, and performance
• Conduct group activities and group instruction
• Participate in implementation of behavior intervention plans
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Supervise/train teaching assistants, student teachers, and interns
• Conduct daily/weekly observations for teaching assistants, student teachers, and interns
• Participate in staff meetings and staff training sessions
• Complete daily session notes
• Complete progress reports for parent-teacher meetings

OWL EIP is an Early Intervention Program that provides both center and home based multidisciplinary therapy services for children who are under 3 years of age throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC. Our center and home based providers specialize in working with children diagnosed with Autism, and other neurologic and orthopedic disabilities; as well as, children at risk or suspected of having developmental delays.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
