INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST - Take the first step toward a career in the healthcare industry!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain efficient and accurate inventory management procedures, consistent with company policy and procedure. Safeguard inventory assets to facilitate shortage detection.
  • Initiate and maintain an efficient cycle count strategy. Make system adjustments as required and analyze results of counts to initiate permanent corrective actions. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all audits, counts, and adjustments. Confirm completion of cycle count activity daily.
  • Establish, maintain, and execute slotting programs through the use of available tools (e.g., DOMS).
  • Determine disposition of damaged and/or expired product, including any possible recoup.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to Customer Service and Purchasing initiated cycle count requests.
  • Ensure that customer returned products are saleable. 

Qualifying Experience:

  • Requires a demonstrated knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices. 
  • Ability to demonstrate end-user level skills in mathematics, personal and mainframe computers, and related application is required. Interpersonal communication skills and analytical ability are important.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Reach lift, order picker lift, computer, RF unit, copier, inventory reports, accounts payable invoices, purchase orders, catalogs, printer, and manuals. Inside working conditions.
  • No environmental hazards indicated for this classification.
  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
