Purpose of the Job:
The Jackson Operations Leader is responsible for the development and implementation of organizational strategies and standards that lead to best-in-class performance results including safety, productivity and quality. The Operations Leader collaborates with other leadership throughout the plant and is an active member of the plant's Natural Leadership Team (NLT).
Jackson is Owen's Corning's benchmark North American glass manufacturing facility; the two-furnace operation competitively manufactures wet use chop strand (WUCS) and gypsum. Jackson's primary customers are Owens Corning building materials (Roofing) and GAF. This position has 6 salaried direct reports and ~180 indirect reports. The plant has 228 employees.
Reports to: Plant Leader, Jackson Plant
Span of control: (1) Logistics Supervisor, (1) AM Coordinator, (4) Front Line Leaders
