Owen Steel is Hiring a Maintenance Mechanic Near Columbia, SC
- Troubleshoot and repair welders, CNC machines, overhead cranes, blast machines, conveyors, and air compressors
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance tasks
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- All other duties as assigned
- Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, mechanics, CNC and welding equipment
- Experience with repairing PLC controlled equipment
- Must have experience with Kinetic Cutting Machine, Peddinghaus Drills, Peddinghaus Angle Lines, and Peddinghause Plate Processing equipment
- Leadership abilities and/or capable of working without supervision
- Repair and maintenance of Hypertherm Plasma cutting systems from 200 amps to 400 amps
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Occasional bending, lifting, twisting, stooping are required to perform duties
- Ability to work overtime as required
- High School Graduate
- 3 to 5 years’ experience
