Job Title: Internal Sales Representative for Manufacturing

Position Overview: As an Internal Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by leveraging your knowledge of CNC precision machines. Ideally, we are looking for an individual that can interpret blueprints, but are open to training someone in this skill. This position requires a proactive and results-oriented individual who can effectively communicate with both clients and internal teams to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Customer Engagement:
  • Identify and engage potential clients to understand their CNC precision machining requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to comprehend project specifications, utilizing your proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Provide product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our CNC precision machine capabilities.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of CNC precision machines to address client queries and concerns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure seamless communication and understanding of client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
  • Quotation and Proposal Development:
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive quotations based on client specifications and blueprints.
  • Create compelling proposals that highlight the unique value proposition of our CNC precision machines.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations to enhance their projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the manufacturing or related industry.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Owen Industries is the parent company of several steel processing and fabrication companies throughout the Midwest. Our oldest division, PVS Structures, was founded in Omaha, NE as Paxton & Vierling Iron Works in 1885, and focused primarily on our foundry and structural products. The company eventually rebranded as Paxton & Vierling Steel (PVS) in 1954, and our logo has worn the badge of PVS ever since.
