Outline of the role
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Operates all equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Follows specifications or procedures for set-up and machine operation using job orders
- Selects, measures, assembles and sets machine tooling.
- Loads proper materials into machinery utilizing cranes when necessary.
- Cuts materials to the appropriate lengths and operates a hand grinder as needed.
- To pull materials as required.
- To monitor and tend the machine.
- To check quality against job specifications and report any deviation.
- To review work in progress and report accordingly.
- Regular Attendance and Punctuality
- Other job duties as directed
Expectations
- To provide accurate and timely information about work in progress.
- To support and encourage other crewmembers.
- To comply with NPS health and safety requirements and policies.
- To achieve required quality standards.
- To achieve on-time delivery to internal and external customers
- To promote good departmental and interdepartmental team spirit.
- To participate in and support Continuous Improvement Programs, HR and other company initiatives.
- To carry out duties in accordance with ISO standards and other company procedures
