OVG 360 is Hiring a Part Time Painter | Palm Beach County Convention Center Near West Palm Beach, FL
- Perform tasks in a timely manner with a high regard to quality that will consistently meet and / or exceed Palm Beach County Convention Center standards.
- Clean, repair and paint or stain surfaces inside and outside the facility as needed or scheduled.
- Install, patch and finish drywall, concrete and plaster surfaces.
- Keep all equipment associated with painting and finishing clean and free of material build-up.
- Maintain paint inventory and order paint and materials as needed.
- Accurately maintain records of labor time, parts used and work accomplished while demonstrating an attention to detail.
- Work with Chief Engineer to notify facility personnel through clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing, about upcoming or on-going work status.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required in a team environment that encourages exceptional service to our clients and the facility.
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in commercial painting and project management.
- Completion of 12th grade is required; Additional college or trade school training for commercial painting/building maintenance is a plus.
- Knowledge of compatibility of paint products and the surfaces on which applied.
- Experience with use of pressure washer, air-less sprayer and other technical equipment.
- Able to understand the paint schedule from construction prints.
- Relevant experience in a first-class Convention Center environment preferred.
- Must be a self starter who can work with little or no supervision with a strong attention to detail.
- Must have a valid, clean driver’s license.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form;
- To deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events and adapt in the work environment;
- To work beyond normal business hours, including nights & weekends as schedule dictates.
