JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Primary Care Projects Manager, and Director of Clinics and Provider Relations, the Specialty Programs Supervisor is responsible for the Non-Prescription Chronic Pain Management Program, the supervision of the Referrals Specialist, and the Supervision of the Prenatal Care Coordinator. Management of daily activities and duties of the referrals specialist of the referral’s specialist includes initiating, planning, monitoring and completing referrals on a timely basis to meet patient care needs. Responsibilities in the oversight of the prenatal care coordinator program are directed towards ensuring successful outcomes for mother and infant throughout the pregnancy and early post-natal period. These responsibilities include program initiatives, compliance and evaluation, as well as completion of required program documentation, budget creation and monitoring.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A bachelor’s degree is preferred or a minimum of three years of experience working with primary care projects in public health clinic. Two years of experience supervisory preferred, management or leadership experience in a primary care setting or hospital preferred. Interest in improving quality of life for those suffering from pain without the use of prescription medications. Experience in referrals, in pain management, with addition/substance abuse recovery program, or equivalent. Tracking referrals for and results of care provided by Osteopathic physician manipulation, acupuncture, trigger point and joint injection and cognitive behavioral modification.
