TITLE: PricingManager DEPARTMENT: Pricing STATUS: Full-time,Manager, At-Will, Salaried REPORTS TO: Director of IT JOB SUMMARY: Toensure the highest level of service possible to Outpost’s internal and externalcustomers. To manage the effective implementation of store price changes,vendor, and product information to ensure product and price integrity andcontrols. WORK ENVIRONMENT:Office environment with moderate noise, including but not limited to computers,printers, paging, telephones, and human voices. Occasional job-related travelwithin metro Milwaukee area. ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITES:1. Customer Service Treat people fairly, consistently, and with respect. Ensure efficient, informative, and friendly service according to established customer service vision and standards. 2. Department ResponsibilitiesLeadership Model supportive and participatory leadership qualities, promote team building and motivate staff to achieve their stated objectives. Treat staff and managers with consistency and fairness, in a style appropriate to a cooperative work environment. Ensure that communications are clear, direct, and respectful. Ensure the integrity of Outpost’s stated values in decision making and interactions with others. Ensure professional and friendly service from staff. Act as a model to all employees following the employee handbook.Systemsand Procedures Develop and maintain systems, documents and procedures as needed to facilitate flow of information between Purchasing, department managers, store pricing, and central office pricing. Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for central office Pricing, store pricing, and store department staff to support POS and ordering systems. Maintain a system for all staff to communicate pricing and ordering problems. Work with IT Department to support information security and database standards.Flow of Goods Support Maintain supplier order info on inventory records to support manual and automated order writing SOPs. Support flow of store purchase orders through POS ordering and related EDI systems.[RM1] [ES2] Ensure that inventory-related POS forms (Transfers, Purchase Orders, Physical Inventory, etc.) are completed by store staff per SOP. Oversee automation options available through POS/fulfillment software (suggested ordering, perpetual inventory, and other retail information systems).Store POS Support Ensure full comprehensive working knowledge of POS system. Participate in ongoing training opportunities from POS vendor. Ensure all stores maintain correct retail prices. Ensure weekly and monthly sales are processed. Ensure new product, database information worksheets and sales are input appropriately. Maintain the POS key layouts per established specifications. Deliver routine reports to internal customers. Provide ad hoc reports upon request. Monitor reporting commitments for efficiency and usefulness. Maintain inventory database for all products. Verify that items and discounts are properly configured. Maintain inventory records to support ecommerce webstore sales, including descriptions, graphics, online-specific modifiers. Ensure items are placed on sale and removed from sale status, in coordination with Purchasing department. Ensure timely response to these price changes. Oversee the processing of invoice data for cost and inventory updates. Ensure invoices are forwarded to accounts payable in a timely manner.Personnel Develop and uphold performance standards for staff. Hire qualified staff within established policies. Ensure training for all department staff. Successfully complete training checklists with new department staff. Motivate and provide staff with the tools and materials required to ensure high quality and efficient job performance. Provide timely, thorough and thoughtful performance feedback to department staff. Take corrective counseling measures and/or disciplinary action as needed for all department staff, according to established personnel policies. Ensure that department meetings are conducted to maintain effective communication with staff. Other Attend department meetings and quarterly management team meetings as needed. Perform all other duties included in pricing staff job descriptions. 3. All Staff Duties Abide by all Co-op policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other company documents. Keep office orderly and clean. Maintain a positive attitude. Perform all other duties as assigned by Director of IT. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,ABILITIES: Outstanding customer service skills Proficient in data management Advanced level ability working with Microsoft Office applications; Expertise with Excel Management and supervision experience - hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining Experience in retail food store environment, with knowledge of operations preferred Good typing skills Ability to creatively problem solve Attention to detail and good organizational skills Ability to handle multiple demands, work under time pressures, and meet deadlines Willingness to be open, to learn, and take on new responsibilities· Demonstrate objectivity, neutrality and calmnessunder pressure Regular, predictable attendance· Effective communication skills in English Ability to read and comprehend instructions Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness· Ability to appropriately delegate work dutiesand manage and motivate staff Ability to plan, develop, and implement systems and procedures Ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and with others ESSENTIAL PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS: Standing, walking, bending, sitting, reaching Using hands or fingers to handle or feel Specific vision ability: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and adjust focus Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
