A Finance and Business Advisory consulting firm focusing on early stage companies in and around the Silicon Valley/Bay Area is looking for a General Ledger Accountant with experience on consolidation of financials of multi units/subs. Job DescriptionThis is a job in a fast paced environment requiring multi-tasking and working with diverse set of clientele. This position is an exempt position which means that the ideal candidate is paid for the job and not by the hour. The ideal candidate will be required to be responsible for, among others,

Assist the Senior Manager with the preparation of financial statements, GL, P&L, balance sheets, account reconciliation, journal entries, etc.

Daily General Ledger/AR/AP functions and assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, and support board and investor reporting as required

Partner with the Operations Team to ensure proper collection and work flow of essential accounting information such as COGS, labor and overhead, and inventory

Lead annual audit preparation and process

Familiarity with latest Revenue Recognition rules a plus

Knowledge of Stock Compensation rules and regulations required

Ability to create Forecasting models in Excel

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting/Finance

CPA is required

4 years of accounting and management experience in startups, high growth pre-IPO, VC-backed environments, experience a plus

Expert knowledge of GAAP and accounting techniques

Proficiency with accounting software packages: QuickBooks, MAS 200, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Expandable a plus

Advance MS Excel skills required. Should be a power user of Excel

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, along with attention to detail

Commitment to high standards, customer service, integrity, and ethics

Ability to establish necessary structure with appropriate flexibility to accommodate demands of a fast-moving and dynamic environment

Ability to drive to multiple locations within the Bay Area on a daily basis
