Donation Attendant - Outer Banks Hotline

Position Summary: To receive donated resalable items at Outer Banks Hotline Thrift Store

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet and greet customers
• Communicate pleasantly with donors while receiving donations
• Distinguish unsellable items and graciously decline them
• Thank customers for their donations and offer a tax receipt
• Keep building receiving areas organized and clean
• Keep trash and boxes in appropriate locations
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Able to lift heavy items
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and comply with a federal, state and local regulations that govern a safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Spend up to 50% of the day standing and/or walking on surfaces such as concrete, wood or metal
• Perform frequent pushing and pulling of freight up to 50 lbs. on a dolly or cart
• Perform frequent actions such as squatting, bending, twisting, turning and reaching overhead
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 21 years or older
• Pass drug and background check

This position is an hourly position therefore is eligible for overtime pay

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour
