Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting general accounting tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and professional development within our company.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
• Proven work experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial information in the accounting system
• Assist with payroll administration and employee expense reimbursement
• Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis as required
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Support other general accounting tasks and special projects as assigned
