Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our team. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is a vital role that requires strong leadership abilities and excellent clinical knowledge.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures
- Monitor patient care activities to ensure adherence to established standards of care
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care activities
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dementia care and experience working with patients with dementia
- Proven experience in supervising and leading a team of healthcare professionals
- Expertise in acute pain management techniques
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, particularly Epic
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes
- Knowledge of home care services and equipment (DME)
- Experience administering injections
