Job Description:
- Telemetry Monitoring and Intervention:
- Utilize telemetry equipment to continuously monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, identifying any abnormalities or changes promptly.
- Respond to telemetry alarms and initiate appropriate interventions, collaborating with the healthcare team to address cardiac issues and ensure patient safety.
- Flexible Patient Care:
- Float between different medical-surgical units within the hospital, adapting to varying patient populations, acuity levels, and care requirements.
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions, including post-surgical care, chronic illnesses, and acute exacerbations, while maintaining a high standard of clinical competency.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff on different units, ensuring a seamless transition of care and providing accurate and comprehensive handoffs during shift changes.
- 1-2 year(s) of previous Inpatient Acute Care Bedside/Clinical experience
- ACLS/BLS issued through American Heart Association (AHA)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Current Registered Nurse (RN License) in the state of employment or compact (multi-state) license
- Must live 50 miles from assignment location to qualify for contract. (Local Assignment available at alternate compensation package)
