Job Description:
- Nutritional Assessment and Planning:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional status, considering medical history, lab results, and dietary preferences.
- Develop personalized nutrition plans based on patients' needs, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure alignment with medical treatments and overall care goals.
- Patient Education and Counseling:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to educate patients on dietary recommendations, therapeutic diets, and lifestyle modifications.
- Support patients in understanding and managing conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and gastrointestinal disorders, emphasizing the importance of nutrition in their overall health.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition interventions into the overall patient care plan.
- Participate in rounds, case conferences, and team meetings to communicate nutritional strategies, monitor patient progress, and adjust plans as necessary.
- 1-2 year(s) of previous inpatient acute care experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Current Registered Dietitian Certification in the state of employment or compact (multi-state) license
- Must live 50 miles from assignment location to qualify for contract. (Local Assignment available at alternate compensation package)
