About This Role

As an Installer , your responsibilities are to assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: installing rooftop solar systems, ensuring the vehicle(s) are clear of personal items or trash, maintenance of solar systems when necessary.

Responsibilities

• As a Solar Installer, your responsibilities are to conduct a solar site assessment as well as assemble, install, and/or maintain/service solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in accordance with design plans
• May include but not be limited to; measuring, cutting, attaching, and assembling structural framing (racking systems), solar modules, and other necessary components to complete a solar installation
• Loading and unloading materials to and from the roof/structure being installed on residential roofs
• Assemble all roof components in an efficient and safe manner
• Document completion of completed installation with our CRM systems (Podio) to update the status of projects timely, and ensure all reporting and analytics is accurate
• Maintain a high quality of installation
• Prepare trucks for installs in the upcoming day making sure everything is neat and organized
• Service the solar system as needed
• Clean and prepare trucks at the end of the day to ensure that the vehicle is ready for the next day’s use
• Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and Solar standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of solar installation, construction and/or roofing
• Ability to work well with others that are on your team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to keep a positive attitude
• Ability to be comfortable being and working on roofs
• Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipment
• Minimum 50% travel required
• Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements and have valid driver's license while maintaining a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders (Daily)
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. routinely (Daily)
• Ability to work in 0-100 degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions
• Ability to move around for prolonged periods. standing, kneeling, bending, Squat and climbing ladders (Daily)
• 8-hour shift
• 10-hour shift
• 12-hour shift
