Job Description:
The Podcast Scheduling and Outreach Intern will contribute to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by assisting with the production of Our National Conversation (ONC)’s podcast. This intern must be organized and a good team player. The Podcast Scheduling and Outreach Intern will be responsible for the scheduling/rescheduling of podcasts with all parties involved, maintaining the content calendar, networking and outreach with potential guests, and ensuring the completion of episode outlines for each of the 2 segments.
This position is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication. This intern must commit to at least the end of the Summer semester (August 30th, 2024). However, many people choose to extend their internship past the amount of time they initially committed to, provided their performance meets the required standards.

Responsibilities:
Ensuring the content calendar is filled out properly and on-time.
Communicating with interns, advisors, and guests including, but not limited to networking, outreach, and scheduling them.
Understanding key audiences for different ONC podcast segments and developing targeting strategies to drive engagement in regard to ONC’s video content.
Effectively communicating with other ONC team members (Slack, Email, Zoom).
The Podcast Scheduling and Outreach Intern should have the following skills, education, and experience:
Preferably majoring in Communications, Public Relations, Film/Video Production, or related fields; and/or passionate about Public Relations, Video Production, and/or Communication
Understanding of basic file management required
Understanding of podcast trends preferred
Exceptional writing skills are required (English)
Proficient verbal communication/speaking skills are a plus
Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict
Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines
Google Workspace experience preferred
Ability to attend weekly organization-wide meetings
Ability to attend weekly Podcast team meetings
Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
