The Director of Technology will serve as a board member for OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION, INC., which is an IRS recognized 501c3 nonprofit. The board convenes at the end of every semester, or three times a year, at the end of April, end of August, and end of December. The board may convene at alternative dates and times dependent on when they are called to meet by other board members and executive leadership within the organization. All board members must ensure that ONC’s commitment to nonpartisanship, ideological diversity, and civil debate is evident in all published work, events, and initiatives.

  • Systems Development and Management: Oversee the development, integration, and maintenance of ONC’s digital infrastructure, including website, databases, and communication tools. Ensure that technology solutions are secure, scalable, and user-friendly. Mentor the Technology Department on best practices in technology management and development.

  • Cybersecurity and Data Protection: Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect ONC’s digital assets. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and safeguard donor, user, and organizational data.

  • Digital Engagement and Innovation: Leverage technology to enhance ONC’s digital presence and engagement. Innovate new ways to use technology to foster dialogue and civic engagement. Collaborate with marketing and media departments to promote ONC’s digital initiatives.

  • IT Support and Training: Provide guidance and support to leadership, interns, volunteers, and all stakeholders on technology-related issues. Develop training programs to ensure team members are proficient with ONC’s technology tools and platforms.

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Monitor technology expenditures, track performance metrics, and analyze data to inform strategic decisions. Prepare reports and presentations as necessary for executive leadership, board members, and stakeholders on technology metrics, goals, and outcomes.

Benefits: Flexible schedule, professional networking, skill development, personal growth, and/or resume-building experience
