Position Title: Long Term Substitute 4th Grade

Position Type: Substitute Teacher

Job Description: OLPH School is looking for an educator to serve as a Long-Term Substitute in 5th Grade beginning on approximately August 1st-approximately December 21st. We seek a teacher who is passionate about teaching motivated, intelligent elementary students, who has strong classroom experience, who can teach with advanced technology, who has an understanding of Catholic education, who strives for excellence, and who contributes as a member of the team.

The Long Term Substitute will:

• Follow lesson plans left by 4th Grade teacher as well as create their own
• Assess and report students’ progress to families
• Communicate regularly with families
• Serve yard duties as scheduled
• Attend faculty and assigned committee meetings as scheduled

Requirements/Qualifications:

*Minimum of a BA or BS, advanced degree preferred
*Prefer valid California multi‐subject teaching credential (or in process of obtaining CA teaching credential

*Experience with differentiated instruction
*Experience with classroom technology integration
*Classroom management skills
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Joy for the practice of teaching, desire to be a lifelong learner, and willingness to be flexible

*Experience with differentiated instruction

*Experience and passion for educating elementary school students

* Excellent interpersonal skills.
