Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our team. As a Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for educating students in the Spanish language and culture. You will create engaging lesson plans, facilitate classroom discussions, and assess student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in linguistics, education administration, and literacy education.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Teach students the fundamentals of the Spanish language, including grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
- Incorporate cultural activities and resources into lessons to enhance students' understanding of Spanish-speaking countries
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and projects
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their language development
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Utilize technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction
- Offer tutoring or additional support to students who may need extra assistance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Spanish or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Teaching certification or licensure in Spanish education
- Strong knowledge of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Familiarity with research-based teaching strategies and best practices in language education
- Experience working with students of various ages and proficiency levels
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish
