Position Description:

Our Lady of Hope School in Everett is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic math and science teacher for seventh and eighth grades. This full-time position will begin August 26, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year. In addition to 7th and 8th grade math and science, this position includes facilitating the 7th grade homeroom and the possibility of teaching 7th grade religion.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a degree or endorsement in math and/or science and related teaching experience. Other skills and qualifications include:

• Experience teaching Algebra and Pre-Algebra
• Excellent communication skills and commitment to collaboration
• Strong, positive, and proactive classroom management
• Extensive experience with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies
• Solid organizational, planning, and curriculum mapping skills
• Passion and enthusiasm for working with middle school students
• Understanding of the developmental needs of young adolescents
• Willingness to create a supportive partnership with parents and students
• High academic standards and the ability to support and challenge students to work to their potential
• Skill in creating a classroom environment that encourages academic risk-taking and mutual support among students
• Effective and varied instructional and assessment strategies
• Sense of humor and creative approach to solving problems

Salary Range:
Salary for this position ranges from $47,000 to $75,000 depending on experience and placement on the salary scale. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skill and prior relevant experience, degrees and certifications.
