Job Description4/5 year old lead teacherHours: 6:45AM-12:15PM$13 an hourPlan both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy. Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child. Encourage assistants to contribute to curriculum planning Work with staff to help coordinate special events Prepare monthly lesson plans and submit for director’s approval Complete bi-annual assessment of children’s development Report progress of children to parents in bi-annual reports and parent-teacher conferences Maintain daily open communication with parents Maintain confidentiality Report any suspect child abuse to proper authorities Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy Maintain a safe and healthy environment Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials Attend in-service training and staff meetings Supervise assistants and volunteers in the classroom Keep all appropriate records Meet all applicable licensing regulations Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications Other duties as assigned by the director QualificationsAssociate’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field; or CDA credential (or 9 credits in a related field) with a plan leading to a CDA and 2 years’ experience relating to caring for children. Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
