About us:

Are you ready to shape our future? Atidaynu’s goal is to help children with autism overcome their social and behavioral struggles. Each child is taught the skills that are most important to them as an individual, that will help them navigate through life and be good communicators and problem-solvers. Our program is designed for students who are diagnosed with autism and have language, social skills development, and academic needs. We provide direct social skill instruction, intensive language instruction, and academic instruction.

Responsibilities:

• You would be developing, implementing, and managing school guidance programs as well as working with students in individual, small group and classroom settings.
• All our staff (teachers, paraprofessionals, providers) are trained on discrete trial, data collection, program design, social skills training, and positive behavior management.

Setting:

• Fun school counseling room which includes, games, books, electronics and bunch of materials.

Qualifications:

• Master’s in School Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatrist, Mental Health, Social Worker
• NYS School Counseling certification required

We take an ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) approach with our students. Please let us know in your application if you have any experience with ABA and working with children or adults with ASD.

Schedule

• Monday- Thursday from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 5PM and Friday from 8:30 AM -1:00 PM (very flexible)
• We offer a summer program (optional)
• Full-time or part-time positions available

This position is great for someone who likes to stay in a one working place year-round as well as for summer. We recognize the struggle of finding a summer job, although we have a short break in the summer, allowing you to recharge and prepare for the upcoming academic year.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
