Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center of Chesapeake is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission to assist children of all abilities control their anxiety, depression and boredom through creativity and art.

We are seeking outgoing, energetic personalities to join our team! They will be an inspiration that motivates and educates their team to execute events to the highest level of guest service while creating lasting memories for our guests. Our Celebration Specialist/Host oversees the execution of all events following ODGCAC's processes and guest service standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and guest service. They must enjoy the fast-paced excitement that comes with coordinating, executing, and then following-up on events.

Event Host

Position Profile

The Event Host will help create a Fun and engaging experience for Guests through courteous, friendly, and professional assistance.

Qualifications

*Ability to provide excellent Guest service *Enjoys to be around people *Experience with children *Proven leadership experience *Exceptional organizational and time management skills *Experience in Hospitality and/or Food & Beverage is a plus *Must be able to interact and communicate well with people of all ages *Ability to project voice and be heard in a loud environment *Ability to develop a rapport with Guests and correct behavior when needed *Ability to interact with Guests and facilitate games and activities to keep them engaged *Ability to handle large groups of children

Responsibilities

*Create a Fun environment throughout the party process *Advocate Guest satisfaction *Advocate risk management (Guest Rules communication) *Maintain party room to standard *Greet the party and escort them to party area *Serve refreshments & food *Create a party gift list of presents when necessary *Custodial duties as requested *Attend regularly scheduled Team Member meetings and training sessions *Manage an inventory of event supplies *Interact with every parent and serve as the point of contact for all parties *Responsible for the successful execution of all parties and events *Establish rapport with meeting planners while promoting services *Monitor, replenish, and update marketing materials this includes printed and digital collateral

Additional Responsibilities

*Check in process, check waivers, issue guest wrist bands *Deliver food and beverage *Party room prep and clean up *Cashing out parties and cashier basics

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Compensation is $13.00 - $15.00/hour.
