Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient financial records. This is a vital role in our healthcare organization that requires strong organizational skills and knowledge of medical coding and billing practices. Duties: - Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes (ICD-9, ICD-10) for diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered - Enter coded information into billing software or electronic health record systems - Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper submission - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure proper reimbursement - Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient financial records, including insurance information and payment history - Assist with medical collections as needed Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or coding - Proficiency in medical terminology, medical office procedures, and billing systems - Strong knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding principles and guidelines - Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding is a plus - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
