Position Summary:

The Clinic Triage Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing triage services and health advice to patients over the phone. The nurse will perform a detailed evaluation of patient symptoms and provide medical advice, as appropriate, regarding the treatment of symptoms and/or recommendation for escalating treatment. The nurse will collaborate with providers and other various hospital departments, and will follow established procedures/protocols. The nurse will provide quality patient care observing local, state, and federal regulations, while operating within scope of practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Minimum of three years’ experience in direct patient care, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
• Current RN License within the state of Iowa
• Current BCLS certification
