DESCRIPTION

Otterbein University is seeking an Assistant Esports Coach. Otterbein is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Esports Coach to be a foundational part of our newly established program for the academic year 2024-2025. This part-time role presents an excellent chance to mentor and support our collegiate esports athletes as they strive for excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Player Development: Provide coaching and guidance to collegiate esports players, focusing on skill development, strategy, and teamwork.
• Game Analysis: Review gameplay footage and provide constructive feedback to players, identifying areas for improvement and strategic adjustments.
• Team Building: Foster a positive team culture based on respect, communication, and sportsmanship, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment for all players.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties related to the esports program, such as scheduling, travel arrangements, and budget management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal for recent graduates or individuals eager to enter the collegiate esports realm, this position requires expertise in at least one of the following games/areas: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Valorant, Call of Duty, Rocket League, or Content/Production.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

This is role will pay a stipend of $6,000 for the Academic Year 2024-2025.
