JOB SUMMARY
Ottawa University Kansas Campus (OUKS) invites candidates for a full-time, 9-month Visiting Biology Faculty position. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of courses and laboratories at the undergraduate level in the Biology program with a focus on cell biology and biochemistry. Additional responsibilities may include courses within the Applied Sciences Division. Responsible for providing high-quality and engaging instruction and academic mentoring to students; developing, assessing, and assuring excellent pedagogy and curriculum design, both within the discipline and in contributions to the Liberal Arts core program; promoting student achievement and academic integrity on behalf of the University; collaboration with support services provided through units such as the Adawe Academic Advising Center; and Academic program development for currency, growth, retention, and recruitment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: (education based on essential job duties and requirements consistent with business necessity): Earned Doctorate preferred. Master’s in biology, Earned Doctorate preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: (experience based on requirements in role and are consistent with business necessity)
Three years higher education experience, preferably in a residential campus, liberal arts setting
