JOB OPENING: PRODUCTION SHIFT SUPERVISOR (NIGHT SHIFT)

Shift: 8 pm to 8 am 2 week repeating work cycle: (Week 1) Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - (Week 2) Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (paid biweekly)

The Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership for all production activities which includes supervising and directing all related work activities under the direction of the Production Manager. This individual will work closely with all members of management to ensure that the highest quality of finished product is produced in a safe and efficient manner.

TASKS:

Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Trains employees in all of the production processes,

Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources.

Facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points.

Troubleshoots and makes minor repairs of equipment when needed.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources. Maintains housekeeping standards of the plant.

Identifies safety hazards/concerns and completes necessary work order to eliminate the hazard. Enforces safety rules and leads by example.

Works closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective communication tools. Communicates with management and other Shift Supervisors when problems occur by emailing detailed information about the problem and how the problem was resolved.

Responsible to meet shift production goals.

Relieves operator for breaks if needed. Also assists in the machine operations of dry and wet processes when needed.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.

Computer skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment

High School Diploma 

College/Technical School Degree preferred
