Role Overview/ Responsibilities Otis Elevator is seeking an experienced software engineer to join its team at the Otis Service Center based in Bloomfield, CT. As a software engineer this position will coordinate a wide range of activities on projects for various elevator control system components including control boards and field tools. The position will be responsible for implementing software features in embedded software for elevator systems and for implementing change requests in high-level C language. The position will develop and execute unit integration tests. The individual will also document test procedures, test results, software requirements and design implementation details. The selected candidate must develop a complete understanding of elevator control hardware and its interfaces to other system components. The selected candidate will be responsible for regression testing for the support of software releases and supporting existing elevator control software by developing new features and enhancing existing features. The position will perform configuration control and change management of new software and troubleshoot field issues while providing appropriate software solutions. Education / Certifications BS or BA in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or closely related field Basic Qualifications 5-7 years relevant experience Proven experience implementing and debugging on embedded platforms Solid understanding of time critical software applications Solid understanding of abstract concepts and software architectures Working experience designing and developing real time embedded applications using C or C Working experience testing and debugging in embedded platform environments Working experience with software debugging and testing tools, including use of in circuit emulator, remote debugging, scopes, serial line analyzer and/or CANalyzer Otis is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
