DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist schools in providing instructional support for English Learners (EL) grades K-12 (includes testing, serving on ESL team to develop instructional plans, and providing information for district/state/federal reports)
• Provide ESL instruction to classes, small groups, and individual students
• Provide support and training for content area teachers of ELs in assigned schools
• Facilitate contacts and interactions between the student’s home and the school
• Participate in monthly training/planning sessions with other EL teachers
• Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors
