Position Overview: As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in our team by providing comprehensive support for hardware and software installations, electrical panel construction, product support, and system installation and startup. This is a technical role that requires travel and participation in various specialized training classes to stay up to date with evolving industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware and Software Installation & Upgrades: Execute precise and efficient installation and upgrade procedures for hardware and software components.
  • Electrical Panel Construction: Construct and wire electrical panels according to schematic drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Product Support: Offer technical assistance and troubleshooting support to clients and internal teams, demonstrating your expertise in industrial electrical systems.
  • System Installation and Startup: Collaborate on the installation and commissioning of new systems, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Equipment Repair and Upgrades: Diagnose and perform repairs, as well as conduct upgrades on existing electrical equipment, improving efficiency and functionality.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared for extended out-of-town overnight travel when necessary to meet project demands.
  • Technical Training: Attend a range of technical training programs, both internal and external, to enhance your knowledge and skill set.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience as an electrical or electro-mechanical technician.
  • Industrial Electrical Knowledge: A strong foundation in industrial electrical systems and practices is required, with a deep understanding of electrical components and systems.
  • Proficiency with PC: Demonstrated expertise in PC operation, including a strong command of Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word for data analysis and documentation.
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently, especially when managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Adept at troubleshooting and resolving technical issues systematically and efficiently.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: A solid understanding of mechanical systems and components is essential to excel in this role.
  • Compressor Knowledge: Knowledge and technical skills related to compressors are a valuable asset, though not mandatory.
