Medical Technologist- Laboratory, Oswego Hospital

The Med Tech will perform routine and/or specialized laboratory analysis either manually or automated in one or more laboratory sections.

Responsibilities

Analysis may involve reagent preparation, calibration and verification of instruments and procedures and the accurate analysis and reporting of patient specimens and appropriate interactive use of LIS. Medical Technologist will also provide guidance and support to other technical staff in regards to trouble shooting, analytical techniques and results interpretations. Ability to interact with all patients from newborn through geriatrics. 12 hour shifts on nights.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology. Valid NYS SED License as a Medical Technologist.
