    District Administration Center COMPENSATION: $20.00 per hour plus benefits. Please note that the hourly rate of pay is inclusive of the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
    UNION MEMBERSHIP: This position is represented by the Oswego Support Professionals Association (OESPA).
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School diploma, Associates degree preferred, and 2-3 years’ Help Desk and technology support experience.
    • CompTIA A certification preferred. Will be required within one year of contract/employment.
    • Hold and maintain hardware support certifications with Dell, Lenovo, HP or similar. Certifications are required within one year of contract/employment, with future additional certifications required as part of the role’s educational development plan.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware and software.
    • Established ability to understand and utilize a wide range of technologies and software applications.
    • Technology support experience with diverse groups and levels of expertise.
    • Experience working within Windows Active Directory environment preferred.
    • Experience working within a virtual desktop environment preferred.
    • Familiarity with SCCM basic support of end-user devices preferred.
    • Knowledge of ITIL best practices desired , ITIL Foundations preferred.
    • Willingness to work in a variety of locations/buildings.
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
    • Ability to lift forty (40) pounds.
    • Have your own transportation.
    • Certificate of good health signed by a licensed physician.
    • Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate.
    GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The role of the Technology Specialist is to, in conjunction with the Tech Department, and at all levels within the SD308 District community, assist and support technology associated with SD308 curriculum and instructional practices. To accomplish this goal, the Technology Specialist will:
    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Providing technology support to SD308 customers.
    • Track incidents to conclusion in line with Service Level Agreements and quality standards of the Help Desk.
    • Manage and escalate as appropriate, any critical customer’s incidents, customer communications, and activities.
    • Participate in the Technology Department’s help desk rotation, ensuring the usability and reliability of the Technology Department’s services.
    • Following best practices, participate in the development of Technology Department standardized and repeatable processes and procedures.
    • Meet performance expectations, goals, and key performance indicators; including regular review of measures for improvement, set by the Technology Team Lead and User Support Manager.
    • Troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues and associated connectivity problems.
    • Consult and coordinate with outside vendors for troubleshooting and/or project implementation.
    • Maintain user accounts, control access rights, and troubleshoot user account problems on a variety of hardware and software.
    • Perform onsite technology support as required.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
