Small firm in San Marco, Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a seasoned paralegal or legal assistant for a position in their Disability/Injury practice. Position is full-time, fast-paced and familiarity with electronic case filing in federal courts (PACER) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Handling and processing of Insurance-based disability claims
• Receipt and processing of Notice of Electronic Filings (NEFs).
• Preparing and filing complaints.
• Preparing motions and other pleadings.
• Calendaring and processing of documents in case management program (Prevail)
• Research of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), Local Rules and Judge's preferences in courts in various circuits.
• Status updates to clients.

This individual must be able to work individually and with a team. S/he must be able to manage multiple tasks at once, troubleshoot emergencies, have good phone etiquette and ability to draft and edit pleadings. Familiarity with calendaring in Outlook, case management software (preferably Prevail), and managing a task list are also required.

Salary commensurate with experience. Hybrid remote work schedule available after successful completion of training period.
