OSR Physical Therapy is Hiring a Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist Near Phoenix, AZ

Schedule is TBD: Approximately 25 hours a week

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will:

Patient Communication:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about our services.
  • Schedule patient appointments and follow up with appointment reminders.

Appointment Coordination:

  • Coordinate patient schedules with the availability of clinical staff to optimize patient care.
  • Manage appointment cancellations, rescheduling, and waitlists as needed.

Patient Registration:

  • Accurately collect payments and enter patient demographic and medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and signed by patients.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and managing patient records.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and phone calls.

Patient Advocacy:

  • Advocate for patients' needs within the practice, coordinating with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.

Patient Education:

  • Educate patients on practice policies, procedures, and what to expect during their visits.
  • Provide resources and materials as needed.
  • Educate patients about their insurance coverage, including benefits, limitations, and any out-of-pocket expenses.

Job Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of similar experience preferred
