Starting pay for this position is $17.60/hour.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The MOA is responsible for preparing the patient for their visit with the provider. They take vital signs, review medications and allergies and update the patients past medical and surgical history. They perform in office lab tests and collect blood for tests to be sent to the hospital for processing.
When there is no provider in the office, the MOA answers the phone, processes referrals from both internal and external providers, they assist with sending orders to local facilities for patients to get their ultrasounds done closer to home.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school or GED equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of six months experience with computer, Microsoft Office and email
Minimum of 6 months health care facility clinical experience or clinical education(including enrollment or completion of OSF MSS MOA Bridge Program).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent Minimum of six months experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent
Minimum of six months experience with an electronic health record Some knowledge of medical terminology
Licensure/Certifications – BLS
