Description

Responsible for set up, operation, and maintenance of processing equipment. Responsible for accurately and efficiently producing products to customer requirements and standards provided on the work order. The Operator is responsible for completing all equipment safety checks before use.

• Process work orders from software
• Measure materials before and after using tape measures, calipers, and steal squares
• Oversee Operator Helper working on the hoist and handling scrap
• Replace parts as necessary, such as blade bolt
• Operate machine from the work area
• Label and package finished products
• Responsible for packaging material to customer specs
• Must store material in correct location
• Report to supervisor when supplies are low

• Must have the ability to effectively read a tape measure
• Must have the ability to proactively maintain machine
• Must have attention to detail
• Good math, verbal, mechanical, and analytical skills
• Must have the ability to work on a team as well as independently
• Basic computer and printer use
• Steel square use
• Spray paint use
• Understanding of production procedures
• Must be able to work safely, watch out for the safety of others and maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition
• Physical stamina and strength
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.), preferred
• Prior experience working in manufacturing, preferred
• Prior experiences working with ERP system to process orders, preferred
• Prior experience with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and scales is preferred

Qualifications

• high school diploma or GED
• strong basic math and ruler skills
• the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments with strong attention to detail
• good visual observation skills, and
• the ability to use general computer programs
