We seek a part-time Hospitality Staff Supervisor to join our Hospitality Center Network. The Hospitality Staff Supervisor will manage programs in correctional hospitality centers across New York State. They are responsible for ensuring policies, initiatives, and programs are implemented and coordinated successfully across different sites.

Salary range: $21-$22 hourly

Requirements

Essential Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs to ensure they align with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Monitor program activities, track progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Provide guidance and direction to Program Coordinator and Vice President of Children, Youth, & Family Services
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and support professional development opportunities
  • Work closely with various stakeholders, including program directors, department heads, and community partners, to establish strong working relationships and ensure smooth coordination of program activities across different locations
  • Under the guidance of the Program Coordinator, manage program inventory and supplies, allocate resources effectively, and ensure compliance with department and DOCCS requirements.
  • Establish quality standards, monitor program outcomes, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance program effectiveness
  • Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to assess program impact and make data-driven decisions
  • Prepare regular reports on program activities, progress, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation, including program manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure program compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and legal requirements. Identify and mitigate potential risks, and develop strategies to address challenges and obstacles
  • Identify training needs and provide support to program staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, or other capacity-building initiatives to promote professional growth within the team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Department of Corrections Staff
  • Supervise Hospitality Center Staff
  • In-person attendance is required to collaborate with co-workers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • Two years of program management experience in a social service agency setting

Key Competencies:

  • Strong oral and written communication, time management, and organizational skills are necessary
  • Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and resolve conflicts
  • Deal calmly in crisis situations and handle multiple tasks effectively under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Work collaboratively well with diverse groups
  • Proficiency with computer skills and be able to formulate incident reports
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime if necessary
