At Oryza Asian Cuisine, we are passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic team. While no prior restaurant experience is required, it is highly valued. Candidates with experience in the retail or other customer service industries are also encouraged to apply.

Position Overview:

As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent service to our guests. The role demands a high level of energy, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, while also enjoying the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Utilize POS systems efficiently to process orders and payments accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area and work stations to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Utilize basic math skills for tasks such as handling cash transactions and calculating bills.
  • Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and ensure timely service.
  • Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional menu items and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food handling and delivery to guests.
  • Utilize culinary experience to provide menu recommendations and answer questions about food preparation.
  • Prioritize guest services by anticipating needs and providing a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Qualifications:

  • No prior restaurant experience required, but highly considered
  • Experience in retail or other customer service industries is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High energy level and positive attitude
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
