Job Summary:

The Computer Support Technician will troubleshoot and maintain the organization's computer systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintains computer systems, installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, and related software and applications.
• Maintains listing of all copiers, computers, and printers in service and updates on a regular basis.
• Installs and maintains peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.

• Knowledge of Windows computers - including troubleshooting, reimaging and sysprep.
• Communicates with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems.
• Maintains email and intranet services, adding and removing users and accounts.
• Collaborates with network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes.
• Sources IT equipment and components and works with appropriate personnel to acquire through contracted vendors first, then other non-contracted vendors.

• Manages copier maintenance program through appropriate vendor.
• Manages recycling of printer toner cartridges.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports Shortel phone system as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
• Basic understanding of the Windows operating system.
• Excellent workstation troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.

• At least three years of experience in computer maintenance and user technical support preferred.
• A , and/or similar certifications highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
• May be required to work on-call or long hours in case of system malfunction.
