Orthodontic Specialists is Hiring an Orthodontic Dental Assistant Near Grand Blanc, MI

We are hiring 1-2 orthodontic dental assistants and offer on-the-job training to meet you at your current skill level.

Orthodontic assisting is a great way to use your hands and skills to create smiles. You will see the results of your work as patients progress through treatment! We want the right person, no matter the skill level. You must be customer service oriented with an attention to detail. We are fast-paced so high energy levels and enthusiasm are needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the orthodontist, staff, and patients
  • Take directions from the orthodontist and anticipate their needs as well as the patients' needs
  • Work closely with office management and support staff throughout the day
  • Inform patients of pre-op and post-op instructions
  • Prepare for procedures by organizing instruments and equipment
  • Sterilize and disinfect orthodontic instruments and equipment
  • Assist the orthodontist during orthodontic examinations and procedures
  • Input information into our computer system to keep accurate records
  • Prepare the patient for the orthodontist by taking x-rays and iTero scans, performing preliminary examinations and collecting diagnostic data
  • Maintaining proper HIPAA and OSHA/MIOSHA compliance at all times

Job Type:

  • Full-Time, 4-5 days per week. Pay rate dependent upon experience. Can also discuss part-time of 3 days per week.

  • Experience is preferred but not required

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
