Employment: 3 days weekly from 7:40 am - 5 pm

  • Strong communication skills: An insurance specialist must have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, prospects, and other team members. They should be able to communicate clearly and confidently, listen actively, and provide clear instructions to patients and prospects.
  • Customer service skills: As the backup point of contact for patients and prospects, an insurance specialist should be able to provide excellent customer service. They should be friendly, empathetic, and patient while addressing patients' needs, queries, and concerns.
  • Time management skills: The insurance specialist must be able to manage their time effectively to ensure that they meet the goal of verifying insurance for upcoming consults. They should also be able to prioritize tasks and manage their schedule efficiently.
  • Organizational skills: The insurance specialist must be organized to maintain accurate patient records, appointment schedules, and follow-up calls. They should also be able to manage their work area effectively, keeping it clean and organized.
  • Computer skills: An insurance specialist must be proficient in using a computer, internet, and scheduling software. They should be able to navigate various websites, databases, and scheduling systems quickly.
  • Attention to detail: An insurance specialist must be detail-oriented to ensure that they verify insurance accurately, take down the correct patient information, and follow up on leads effectively.
