Purpose of the Position:

Oversee all aspects of the injection molding process, including set-up, operation, maintenance, and repair of molding tools, equipment, and material. Assist in the execution, development, and improvement of core processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct cold starts of molding tools
• Daily process verifications as well as part quality verification
• Troubleshooting of any and all issues that may arise
• Start, stop, and adjust any and all equipment on the floor as needed
• Read and follow all maintenance schedules
• Replace machine parts as needed (i.e. heater bands, nozzle tip, screws, etc.)
• Complete all paperwork as required
• Assist with training and break relief
• Maintain a clean working environment by cleaning and organizing lines
• Follow all Orotex policies and safety rules
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

• Detailed oriented, organized, motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to understand spoken and written English
• Ability to work overtime and needed
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with injection molding process, process monitoring, fluctuations, and quality parts, and minor repairs
• Knowledge of molded materials, nylon 66 and polypropylene preferred
• High School Diploma or GED, Training certificate or 2 year degree preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk for 8 plus hours daily
• Ability to use both hand, wrists, and arms with continual motion
• Ability to push, pull, grasp, and reach objects
• Ability to lift 50 plus pounds repeatedly

Safety glasses at all times, safety gloves, Steel-toe boots or shoes, ear plugs as necessary
