Purpose of the Position:

Package finished products for shipment and assist the Machine Operator to meet production needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor materials on moving conveyor belt, remove excess materials from product using hand tools
• Assembly boxes for shipment as needed, package and weigh products for shipment according to customer requirements
• Assist the machine operator in operating the machine
• Safely operate forklift as needed to move material
• Read and comprehend instructions and following established procedures
• Keep workstation clean and organized
• Cross train in other areas as needed and other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

• Basic math skills
• Ability to use hand tools (i.e. calipers, digital scales, screw driver, blades etc.)
• Detailed oriented, organized, and motivated
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to understand spoken and written English
• Previous Forklift experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work overtime and needed
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for 12 plus hours daily
• Ability to use both hand, wrists, and arms with continual motion
• Ability to push, pull, grasp, and reach objects
• Ability to lift 30 plus pounds repeatedly and up to 50 occasionally
• Ability to bend, stoop and walk frequently

Working Conditions

Temperature controlled facility, loud machinery

Personal Protective Equipment Required

Safety glasses at all times, safety gloves, Steel-toe safety shoes or boots, ear plus as necessary
