Sanitation Worker
Monday through Friday 4:00pm - 12:00AM
$19.80 ($18 10% shift premium)
The sanitation employee is directly responsible for the disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing and the reassembling of all the Ornua production facility and production equipment. The individual trains and ensures the duties in a safe manner and in accordance to written sanitation program.
Essential Functions : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. • Individual will be responsible for the daily pre-cleaning, cleaning and sanitizing of the Ornua facility and production equipment after use, following established SOP’s. • Train in all aspects of the Sanitation program. • Disassemble, clean and sanitize all functions ensuring that the facility and equipment is cleaned and sanitized in a safe manner, following written SOP’s, to ensure a food safe production environment. • All Sanitation employees will be trained annually on chemical safety and S.S.O.P’s. • All employees must follow all PPE’s. • Communicates with Supervisor on all equipment or building deviations noted during sanitation. • Participate in all monthly safety meetings • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications : • High school diploma or equivalent required • Solid work history is a must • Basic computer skills • Ability to multi-task effectively • Prior sanitation experience preferred but not required • Strong attention to detail • Supports a safe work environment • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices a plus • Basic math, reading and communications skills
Physical Demands : • Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time- (10 hour days) • Ability to talk, hear and carry out directions in a safe and efficient manner • Ability work with hands and lift hoses of up to 50lbs repetitively • Ability to adjust body position to bend, stand, walk, turn, and pivot • Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practice
Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
