Job Summary: Qualified applicants must be able to perform all tasks noted below in a busy environment with limited supervision. From time to time, you may be required to work other shifts or be temporarily moved to other departments in the plant. Must also be prepared for any related duties Whitehall Specialties, Inc (within reason) assigned by the Supervisor or Management. Schedule Monday thru Friday 10pm to 6am Wage $21.75 plus 15% shift differential Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The lead is responsible for the proper manufacturing of the finished product. Drying/Grating Lead is responsible for manufacturing the right product from the right recipe to the right specification and maintains HACCP procedures. He/she is responsible for mixing the correct batch. He/she is required to grate and/or dry the product to the correct moisture and specifications. The lead is responsible for basic record keeping, moisture analysis, as well as keeping track of inventory. The lead is required to clean equipment and surrounding area and ensures that the cleaning is done correctly and completely. Manage your crew, ensuring that your team members are taking breaks and adhering to all policies and procedures. Crew leads may also provide written and/or verbal disciplinary action as needed, under the guidance of the shift supervisor. Required Skills and Abilities: Package finished product including box making, lining, filling, closing, and palletizing. Inspect cheese products, packing and boxes for damage, report deficiencies to proper parties. The lead must be able to operate scales, steam controls, grinder hammer mill and dryer. He/she must be familiar with the cheese making process and the impact of any deviation from the set process conditions. The lead must be able to do multiple tasks at the same time. Complete all necessary cleaning and workplace sanitation requirements. Perform all tasks in a busy environment with limited supervision. Record production information in a tablet, computer or by hand. Attend all required company training. Flexible to support work in all areas as needed. Perform duties following all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) including food, equipment, and operating safety requirements. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently. Stand for extended periods of time. Vision including that ability to read, distance vision and peripheral.
