Full-Time Opportunity! Monday - Friday (8am-4:30pm, or 10am-6:30pm), occasional Saturdays

  • Travel required between our two Staten Island Pain Management locations.

*2-3 Years supervisor experience OR 5 Years medical office experience

General Summary: Management position responsible for managing daily operations of the Pain Management offices.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist practice manager with the oversight of office operations and delegates authority to staff as is appropriate.

2. Assists practice manager in developing and implementing short and long-term work plans and objectives for clerical functions.

3. Oversee/supervise/assists staff in understanding/implementing clinic policies and procedures.

4. Assists in development of guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.

5. Ensures the office is staffed appropriately, follows proper protocol to do so.

6. Assists HR department in employee supervision, hiring, orientation, and evaluation of clerical staff.

7. Assists practice manager with establishing a responsive patient flow system.

8. Coordinates with practice manager to oversee and approve office supply inventory, ensures mail is opened and processed accordingly, and offices are opened and closed according to procedures.

9. Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environment and infection control, codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.

10. Effective communication with department managers, leadership, HR department, and reporting employees.

11. Additional clerical, administrative tasks may be assigned.

Education:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

2. Bachelor’s degree accepted, not required

Experience:

1. Minimum three (3) years of administrative experience

2. Minimum three (3) – five (5) years’ experience in supervisor role

3. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a medical office, pain management preferred.

Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.

Skills:

1. Skills in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.

2. Skills in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.

3. Problem solving skills, interpersonal relations.

4. Skills in verbal and written communication.

Abilities:

1. Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.

2. Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.

3. Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.
