Position Summary

Champions Orlando Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Always endeavors to ensure that the organization is achieving its mission to build lifelong relationships with each member, internally and externally, by empowering their financial momentum. Works with residential mortgage loan officers driving sales production with accuracy that is in line with Fair Lending Practices. This is a managerial position that requires strong business development skills. By managing our lending professions and building relationships through centers of influence and marketing connections to result in strong sales pipelines that are consistent. This position will attend functions or networking events outside of the office to promote sales and cross sale various products and services. In this role you will continually source, develop, and maintain a quality network or relationships that serves as a source of referrals. 

Networking should consist of real estate professionals, builders, professional, and personal contacts as well as other valuable referral sources with the objective of servicing, maintaining, developing new relationships, increasing the loan portfolio, increasing revenue, and identifying current and positive potential lending opportunities for the credit union. The drive is to expand membership base. 

Management of loan officers includes pipeline management, effective and accurate pricing/placing of loans, error management and sales goal achievement. The ability to Identify cross sale opportunities with the broad product offerings Orlando Credit Union.

This person will provide personalized attention to all credit union members, attract new members, and build and increase Orlando Credit Union’s brand in the communities we serve. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with Orlando Credit Union’s Mission, Vision and Values. 
  • Ensures Orlando Credit Unions Member Expertise receives world class service by communication throughout the loan process. Managed daily to build satisfaction.
  • Manage active loan pipeline with accuracy for reporting to VP of Business and Residential Services.
  • Ability to navigate loan system for management of pipeline, disclosures, and pricing.
  • Compliance with the Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act including Customer Identification Program, customer due diligence, identifying high risk accounts, reporting suspicious activities to Supervisor or other credit union leadership.
  • Works with mortgage loan officers by reviewing potential opportunities for pricing and placement of loans.
  • Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and available equity to determine feasibility of granting loan. Approves all submissions of full applications to loan operations for underwriting. It is essential that this position has monitors loan quality prior to submission to underwriting. 
  • Works on behalf of mortgage loan officers with operations to deliver timely, accurate and credit worthy loans. 
  • Understands Orlando Credit Unions policy with residential lending and how that applies to potential loans. 
  • Professionalism is expected in all aspects of a career with Orlando Credit Union. 
  • Ensures Loan Estimate and all disclosures that are sent to members in accordance with RESPA Guidelines.
  • Confers with department personnel to aid in resolving mortgage application problems.
  • Analyzes potential lending opportunities involved in each lending situation to further assist the borrower and increase the credit union's lending portfolio.
  • Cross sells borrowers on the benefits of utilizing other credit union services.
  • Represent OCU at external events to create awareness about Orlando Credit Union home loan products.
  • Works with Real Estate Agents and community partners to develop deeper relationships and a greater understanding of OCU’s home loan products.
  • Support the Credit Union's culture of compliance by understanding and complying with all federal and state regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC as applicable, including but not limited to adherence with BSA/AML and OFAC policies and procedures regarding large currency transactions, monetary instruments, wire transfers, member identification, OFAC screening, the completion of training, and reporting suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.
  • Ensures Orlando Credit Unions Member Expertise receives world class service and communication throughout loan process. 
  • Other duties as assigned and not limited to the above.

Education

  • Licensed through NMLS in Florida (required).
  • Must have 3 years of experience in residential mortgage sales management and actual sales achievements (required).
  • Bachelor's in Business, Finance, or related field (required).

Basic Skills 

  • Interpersonal communication skills are key in this role and previous residential lending experience (required).
  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate lending products (required).
  • Demonstrated verbal, mathematical, and written communications skills (required)
  • Display accuracy and professionalism (required).
  • Experience with Episys Quest (Symitar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-starter with the ability to provide results with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of third-party vendors and branch support teams.
  • Support and promote all credit union initiatives.

Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret Credit Reporting data.

Additional Requirements 

  • Candidates must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and credit check. The position is contingent upon meeting these prerequisite requirements. 
  • Staff are normally assigned to one branch, office location, or remote worksite, but will be required on occasion to work from a different location or branch and attend in-person meetings. Reliable transportation is necessary to fulfill this requirement.
  • Candidates and employees may be assessed for their ability to perform the position's essential duties.

Salary is Based on Experience:

55k to 70k plus commissions

Physical Functions: Physical requirements involve performing general office activities. This role will require you to regularly sit and talk for long durations. The role will also frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, and will occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Working Environment: Normal climate-controlled office setting with moderate noise.This job operates in a clerical office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
